Usually what you dont do is something realy stupid and you could care less...thankless I tell you absolutley thankless..... but I did make a pretty cool snake...after about 20 hooks...practice practice...I may post a pic tomorrow... Frosty
I'll tell you who REALLY appreciates you. Your dog. Frosty
Ten Hammers
Yeah Frosty, Jake and Harley really appreciate my work. I have a couple of good critics that will honestly tell me what they think ( which is what I want to know ). These critics are not family members though. One son in law is a professional welder and really is a good critic but hard to get over to the shop.
J W Bennett
Archie is always glad to give me his opinion. usually costs me a frito or two though. That is when he's not chasing Sabertooth Bunnies and Wilderbeasts:<)

easilyconfused
I'm a firm believer in honest critique rather than just saying "that's great!". At least they've looked at it enough to care to critique it. Plus, it's a good motivator to make that one thing they can't critique. On the other hand, you can always say "well at least the dog likes it".;)

keykeeper
Q: Who really appreciates you? A: Everyone I DO NOT try to help in any way. Seems like in my case, almost everyone I have EVER done ANYTHING for in the past to be generous and of good moral character, mistakes kindness for weakness and tries to take advantage of that trait, but that is another story altogether. Seriously, though, my wife appreciates my work, has to have the "first one" of most anything I make at the forge. I think my daughter does also, because she already has her own hammer and anvil. She likes the Ding, Ding sound Dad makes when he's working. I think I can live with that!! aaron c.
