Just thought you lot might enjoy it too. Check out the unusual fire pot clinker breaker - food for thought. All the best Andy
DSW
There's 6 or 8 episodes on The Woodwrights Shop that deal with blacksmithing over the years. Besides that one on gate hinges, there's another one on small hinges, and one on a canthook to name the ones I remember off the top of my head. Popular Woodworking has a lot of the older Woodwrights Shop shows that they offer for download besides the ones PBS offers for free. http://shopclass.popularwoodworking.com/p-407-the-woodwrights-shop-s02-ep08-williamsburg-blacksmiths.aspx
VaughnT
Never get tired of watching Peter work. He really needs to get his own show on PBS.

Everything Mac
I'm sure there was one dealing specifically with wrought iron but I lost the link. Anyone know of the one I mean?
Frosty
Does anyone here remember Roy and Peter Ironing a log sledge? It was the perfect collaboration Roy went through selecting the runner logs and how to cut them so they followed the grain and how it was joined. Peter forged the iron parts including the runners for double moccasin sledge rails. Roy at least knows his way around a smithy enough not to be too hazardous. They forged everything from the trace rings to the log chains, pins bolts, etc. I'd post the link if I could find it. <sigh> Frosty The Lucky.
