Dogsoldat
Had an hour or more in the shop today. Started with a trimmed edge off some plate from work. 1/2 sq and maybe12" long. turned it into this. Only major flaw I have in it, is the socket is not thin enough to flex a little. Came out really close to all my size specs, which is a bonus. ken leedy
That turned out very nice. I've always wanted to make one.

Dogsoldat
Thanks guys, forgot to add the pattern that I was working from. Just in case anyone wanted to show me a nicer one. :)

Dogsoldat
Made another one, All was going great til I was ready to start rolling the loop.... and then its oops cut the hook on the wrong side... :( picked the fattest spot a quick twist, reset a shoulder and run it thru the half round hardy tool. Stretched it out a little, doesn't balance as nice as it should but it may be alright with the right candle in it. Did manage to save it though. started out with a piece of 3/8 sq maybe 10" long. Another dozen and I might have something that someone will buy...

Frosty
Hurray! Sold the second one. Now you know: There's no such thing as a backwards forging, it's "left handed." Good market targeting! Frosty The Lucky.
Dogsoldat
Wish it was a case of left handed on it, would have been a bit easier. The candle holder part and the hanging hook are supposed to be on the same side so it sits flat on a table or timber. Not opposites... But I do like that Idea Frosty. Rashelle
If they are suppose to be on the same side. Next time twist the hook. It looks round so no one will know it was forged to hang opposite, once twisted. That's my thought if I understood the problem correctly. I might not of, of course. Ok I went and reread the whole post again. You did twist it after. ......... Grrrrrrrrrr time for bed, my brain is mush.
