ThomasPowers
Good DEAL: yes or no depending on LOCATION Worth: DEPENDS ON LOCATION Here in the USA I would say it should go for between US$1 to US$3 a pound and I would NOT advise anyone to spend the upper limit! Weight stamped is: 3 x 28 + 18 = 102 pounds I'd give 3 quantloos for it.
notownkid
This anvil looks good in the pictures, If you are happy with it and the price then it was perfectly priced. I purchased a Book On the Mouse Hole Anvil Company, had it shipped in from England great book. would love to have one of their anvils. njanvilman
"Worth" is what someone is willing to pay for it. There is so set value. To you it was worth the money. The anvil does have some damage to the tip of the horn, and some major chips on the edge. It has been well used. But remember, It is over a hundred years old, with many millions of impacts. Use it to forge stuff; the worth will be evident over time.
Marksnagel
Well, we didn't get the pics but at $1.82 a pound it might not be too bad a deal. All depends on its condition. Rebound, sway, edges sharp, pitted, etc. Lots of variables. Try the pics again. Where are you located?
