Just wondering if this thing is for real, that is, was it made from forged steel elements or is it just some crud they use for movie sets? It would have been a fun project and I bet the $$$ was good if it were forged and fabbed..... B)

I'd bet it'a a fake <_< .  Can you imagine moving that thing :unsure: .  I would be pushing 1000lbs :huh: , and not very comfy eithe :blink: r.  That being said, there's a reason I don't gamble. :rolleyes:

I dunno, when I blew it up it looks like there's welds holding it together....The pic is clearer at the link.

I'm pretty sure it is fiberglass. I know a blacksmith that did work for movies like 300 and Nouvelle-France (Battle of the brave) and he said to me that almost everything was made of fiberglass. Even the houses!

I have dreams of creating a 7 day straight razor set with a GOT theme, with a miniature version of the throne as a holder for the razors and the brush....it'll be my eventual masterpiece haha

Back in 1965 I met a sculptor in OKC that had made a sculpture of a warrior using the metal actions of rifles, pistols, bayonets that were not suitable for sale from an arms importer and yes, it did weight nearly a thousand pounds. The only non metallic on the whole thing was the black bear skull he used for the head. It was a very dynamic piece.

My wife sat in the thing at a sci-fi convention last year. It's resin, just like Mr. P sez.

Now for a *real* example of creative re-use: in the UK there was a 64' long fence made using captured swords from the battle of Culloden as pickets....(cue agonized screaming...)

You got to be careful of that fence with all them Claymores as pickets, wouldn't want to be a bit tipsy and fall on that one. Talk about falling on your sword!!

Speaking of Game of Thrones...Video is a little much but I would love to see someone attempt to make this.
