4dead
Anyone have a trick for getting the letter to line up when you stamp them. It is frustrating to make something, get it looking pretty good only to stamp crooked letters on it. Thanks Randy.
John McPherson
Two vise grips and a short piece of angle iron make a dandy adjustable rest. Also handy for plasma or torch cutting straight lines.
jeremy k
Stamp backwards - last to the first letter that way you in can see spacing or stamp upside down front to end .
Glenn
Anything as a guide to keep the line straight. Flat bar, angle iron etc. When you get the guide set up, use soapstone or masking tape to mark a line from the guide to the metal so you can see if the set up starts to move, even a little bit.
