Had to share. My sister wanted a candle snuffer so here's my attempt. I got my inspiration from "A Pattern Book of Tools and Household goods" which is a reproduction of an ad book from the 1700's/ early 1800's. I turned the decorative end on the lathe and forged the taper and also forged the bell from a section of pipe. The end I forge welded solid, but it cracked a little after grinding to fit. Also this was the first project that I could use my new maker's mark.
