Pug}{maN
looking at this , hows it mount ? price any good ?http://kansascity.craigslist.org/tls/3169237701.html
r smith
Looks handy for small stuff. Nice it rotates. The angled plate screws to a bench and the vice plugs on to that. But the best thing is he says he is a blacksmith and when you get there with cash he may "find" more stuff to sell cheap.
Timothy Miller
Over priced, cast iron, and not a real blacksmiths vise. It will also not be rigid when you really need to be because of the swivel it may be good for light metal work but not forging.
ThomasPowers
Note that the original owner does not use it anymore as he is using regular post vises. This may indicate something...
macbruce
I have a vice that swivels and I use it often to position awkward things to file, grind or weld. Looks like a good tool but if you get it, NEVER pound on it....tap ok.
pkrankow
Doesn't seem overpriced, look at a machinist vise for comparison. It is not a forging tool, but would be handy for file work. Phil
fluidsteel
I'd buy it. I have 2 nice sized post vises so I would not need it for pounding on. I'd say it would be an awesome vise for filing and maybe holding stuff to weld etc. It's a cool old vise and I love cool old vises!
Timothy Miller
Let me also say we had that exact vise in a shop I worked in. It never got used because it was to flimsy.
