I wonder why they make their broad axe with a double bevel. Arn't they usually a single bevel?

i have a hatchet and a double bladed ax made by these people
they will take a licking and keep on ticking

Those are some darn fine axes, but that double-bit is a thing of pure beauty.

If you are using your broad axe to hew beams flat and square they should be chisel edged. if you are using it for other tasks it can be "axe edged".

That little bearded belt axe is a really beautiful tool. It's definitely going on my "to-make-someday" list. Then when I booger it up trying to forge one, it is going on my Christmas list
