basher
Here is a blade I have made . I wanted to have the modern elements (15n20 and 20c) look like old steel. kind of a Macro....micro thing . from a distance its bling ...up close cruddy . layers within layers.......... made from wrought and modern steel .... a little closer and closer still. bigfootnampa
It looks pretty nice to me... I think it just needs some patina to darken the old layers. It appears to have a good edge... which is the important part.
Marksnagel
Nothing cruddy about that blade that I can see. I like it. Mark<><

basher
thanks for the comments. I do not consider "cruddy" in this context to be a negative thing, it is what I am aiming for. this blade is part of a seax series, I have forged 7 large blades and a couple of by knives , I'll post them as they finish.
