mrkiddi
Well...the loooong wait is over and i have made my first knife using only an anvil and a hammer!. i have been waiting to get a forge and anvil for ever! i haven't been able to get an anvil for a pretty long time and i never thought i could get coal unless i would have to spend a Fortune! but...my prayers were answered when a man called me the other day about an ad i had put on a website and he told me that he had a used anvil for sale!. i was like a dog with a bone i was so happy!. but then i realized that i had nothing to do with an anvil unless i had coal, the very same day my brother entered the room and told me that he had talked to a local blacksmith(i had no idea there was one in my neighbourhood) and he had told him that i should just visit the Aluminium smelting plant and talk to someone there and i would get as much coal as i wanted! so my Blacksmithing days have begun and im happier than i have been in years! so,I can finally call myself a proud Blacksmith :D

Frosty
it's great! that puppy is cute! i have two dogs, one of them an Icelandic sheep dog. i couldn't have asked for a more loyal dog:) Icies have great temperaments, falki is our second. Abby is now 4 years old and a rescue. I can't imagine anyone either turning her in or losing her and not looking till they dropped. The more I learn about icies the better I like them. Folk here in the US call them Icies, we can be ALMOST as bad as the British about nicknames. A year ago I got hit by a tree I was felling and Abby is one of the dogs who saved my life by getting Deb's attention in the house and pointing to my broken bleeding body when she came out to see what the fuss was. The pic is Abby who's mostly icy and a little who knows what, maybe. I pity folk who don't share their lives with a dog. Frosty the Lucky.
