Zsartell
Hello all, I thought that everyone would like this. I made this replica teeth pulling device for a Pirate Surgeon Re-enactor. It is called a Dental Pelican and I could see how it would work really well. It was a fun project.
pkrankow
Just looking at that makes my teeth hurt! Nice job! How much of that is machined and how much is forged? I can see how that would remove teeth rather well too. Phil
teenylittlemetalguy
yeah, makes my knees weak looking at it. My guess is the ball is forged as well?

CBrann
Whats more painful... broken rotting teeth or having the yanked out with an eeeevvviilll looking device?... besides what is rum for? (toungue in cheek.. so to speak) I will stay with my oral surgeon and painkillers.. as for the re-enactor for Pirate Surgeon.. who knew there was such a thing? gadetoz
Argh me hearty - mighty fine looking work. Look like something that would have been used by early sailors. Trevor
Zsartell
The only thing I machined was the hole in the 3/8" rod. Everything else was forged and filed. This is one of the simpler designs. He couldn't afford the more complicated ones.
Sam Thompson
Have you seen the mercury syringes that they used to treat STDs?
