IRN-- What if I sneak in here. Me not being a member.grin. You going to have run me off or can I visit/post without being a member??

Chuck

P.S.How much and how often are the dues. Do you accept Carta Blanc, American Express.(they are still availible aren't they)Grin. seriously,, tell us about your group...

Chuck

Chuck, once it comes out in our newsletter you will only be able to access it if you are a member and your name is flagged for access, it will be more or less a private site for PBA members only.

oops missed the part about dues chuck, $15 a year bi montly newsletter, summer and fall conferences.

IRNSRGN--Whom, besides your esteemed self, belongs to the PBA and how much activity do you expect on the forum??

I might be able to go to some of the events, if it is not too far North and East.

chuck

chuck, I have no idea how much activity there will be, there are 3 - 1 evening meetings every month, and 3 yearly weekend activities. Most of the meetings are in the eastern half of the state. Some members have hammerins as well.

(SEE THE CALENDAR OF EVENTS PAGE)

Cool! Now I can not possibly loose my copy of the newsletter. Thank you Jr.

Irsrgn, Where do I need to send the money to so I can join? Didn't see it listed in your newsletter. Thanks.

Follow the link to the PBA website, print out your application and mail it in! Probably will take a while to hear back from them, mine took a month or two. Nice to see another Omaha area blacksmith, send me an email to [email protected], we could get together and talk shop. Take a look at the newsletter in this post, there is a monthly meeting in town at the Hot Shops, I think the second Friday of the month around 7pm.

I'd love to get a chance to talk shop. My wife surely is tired of hearing about it. LOL I took a class is January at John Loken's shop but haven't had the time to get to one of the friday meetings.

John

Sandpile,
To answer your ? about how big is PBA, last count was near 150. Can't include my self at present time cuz I keep forgetting to send in my 15 bucks (sheepish grin). However, members are spread out across the state of Nebraska and parts of surrounding states.

Jr.
Hope I didn't violate any PBA secrets but I got that info from the official PBA site. And, I am going to get that membership updated soon. I promise. ;)

I just joined the PBA. With luck, I'll start showing up to stuff here soon. Got an email from the Treasurer about meetings this month. Good stuff.

Good Morning Jr.

This may turn out to be a way to keep in touch. I will make an effort to report what happens at the Omaha Area get togethers.
Tinker

Glad to see you here Bud, it will be nice to learn what is happening in the Omaha area meetings.
