do you put it in the washing machine as a soap to wash your clothes?

my forge is similar to this one but my blower and the forge r 2 seperate units.ill put pics on once its totally finished and lit.

i wanna make a crucible forge also

can you make demascus or forge weld on this forge?i dont know where to get clay but my friend knows a recipe` for fire cement i think its lime cement and water not to sure.

Is it possible make to borax or any thing that will forge weldthat is cheap and doesnt require much science?sorry i left out a few words

well today i just finished my forge and i just need to put a cap on the bottom of the ash chamber and then im totally done but aparently the way ive made it, it can melt metal easily.i just need a recipe` for making fire cement or somthing to put a layer on the bottom of the truck rim to stop it from burning.

Where can i buy some forge welding flux and what exactly is it used for besides forge welding?

Hi everybody:).Well i have been doing a blacksmithlight engerneering course in the last 2 months and so far we havent done much or learnt much,and id like to know if anybody out there has tips,knowledge,tricks or anything about blacksmithing id greatly apreasiate you sharing it,since i was a small boy i always loved watching those medievil movies with blacksmithing in them and when i found out that it was a real trade and not only a thing in the movies i knew i had to try it and now im hooked for life. thanx DM aka Shadow forge smith

thanx B1946 its true what you say i mean i tried to forge weld a piece of srping steel with out flux and only half of it welded it was about 3cm of forge weld and the rest didnt stick.but hey if anybody has tips or help 4 me on forge welding id love 4 you to share it with me,i wanna forge weld springs steel and titaniam one day.i live 4 damascus

yes i understand but im not talking about doing it as a continues hobby i just wanna get a small crucible like the size of a cofee mug so i can dip the cable into the molten cable to bind them together because im not good at forge welding.well my forge is out dores and its made in such a way that if any molten metal flys out it will just hit the sides of the forge and it wont come close to me.

Hi its DM i was wondering if its posible to make a crucible from stuff avalible in a normal hardwarestore?thanx.i wanna make or get a crucble to experiment and to melt cable in it while having a piece in the forge and then taking it out a diping it into the melted cable making it all one piece instead of lots of little wires.

thanx guys, i was wondering if it would be a good idea to weld it to the top of my rail road anvil so it has a harder surface?

The other day i got given a pice of something called biziloid and id like to know if it would be good for making knives if not what can i use it for?

just weld some big steel balls on the rail, im a skater and trust me theres nothing worse than round balls getting in the way.

ok well ive made the blower housing and it fits perfectly and now i must just some how bolt it to the motor frame which is sheet metal of the sort
