  1. Hi Das, it actually is just a step away. The area is smaller than it looks and is quite tight for 2 people. I really need a larger space. And shade, going to be hot out there this summer
  2. Heres mine, new at this and hope to build a shop soon,
  3. Actually 3 4x12s. It clamps real tight and I could hear them crunching as I tighted them up. Works much better than the the ratchet strap I was using. This was the first time I used my post vice to forge with, bent the corners then cleaned them up on the anvil, very fun to do, love my new hobby!
  4. I made 4 of theese.... And 3 4x12s equals....... Works real well and was my first real "tool"
  5. I made 4 of these........ And did this with them......... I'm really happy with how it turned out It took a couple hours and I consider this my first "tool" project. I used my post vice to bend the corners and cleaned up on the anvil. It was the first time I used the vise to forge. Fun! My forge thanks for looking

First attempt at a knife, I'm a beginner and have been practicing on hooks and bottle openers and such. First time playing with carbon steel coil spring, didnt harden because its a butter knife haha. Overall I am happy with it, fun to work with spring steel and I can really feel the difference in the finished strength even untreated
  7. The horn on my 100lbs vulcan is shorter and stouter than that one ? Looks way bigger than mine from here
  8. Im a weekend end rookie with a hand crank rivet forge. Usually forge for 2 or 3 hours per session and a 50 lbs bag of bit. smithing coal has run 10 or 12 sessions and I still have at least a couple more left. I am surprised with how little it uses. I use fire bricks to keep the fire small however. Im only doing small stuff as a beginer Long way from coal am I
  9. My last boss got a check from our company for .10 cents! No joke, they underpaid an expence and mailed it to his house. He framed it and hung it in his office to celebrate the stupidity.
