    I cleaned it off and you are right. I don't think the numbers on the base are legible though. The top looks like one piece. Not sure. Shame on me for not looking closer... I guess I better start reading the anvil section more now!

    Man am I blind. It went right into the basement and sat. I thought it was all hammer dents, wear and tear and scuff marks. I'll dig out my packed away wire wheel grinder and see. This is cool.

    An anvil finally found me. Theres no markings and it weights 87 lbs according to the bathroom scale, but its a fibber.... I had an electrician over to do some work and it was in the back of his van. Time to find a new home for the ole chunk of rail.

    I agree with everything you stated, and I would expound, however this phone and its measely small keyboard and screen are like a bottle neck. I have a locked up Ipad and a laptop with a battery deader than a well preserved tribolite and was planning on getting something better with my easy got gains. Alas... I want my $4 back! I don't know what went wrong. I learned my lesson though. No more of that foolishness for me.... Sorry Frazer and Robert. Maybe next time!

    Come to think of it after I drew this one, just do away with the all-thread assembley and the one of the hinges and just use a rubber tipped toggle clamp. Sorry for the sideways picture. Quick change and stability!

    I have tonights winning numbers in my hand. Tomorrow, $1000 credits at the IFI store to all members! After some philanthropical projects and a new shop that is.... I know hard work builds character and pays off in the long run, but this is quicker!

    That material would make a great scorpion, chicken or pterodactylus sculpture. Or even a bust of Lon Chaney as The Wolfman with black kevlar for fur (plus green glass beads for eyes)! I may have to learn some new skills and up the quality of my work....

    Maybe grind a few flat spots on it so it does not mark or scroll crooked. Or heat and beat a flat spot... Idk.

    It doesnt look quite as twisted as yours but it seems Tamco made them too. I like rr relics so I searched around the web but couldn't find much on the use of them. Theres something called a "granny picker" for switches but I think thats a different tool.

    Those shims look like what we used for aligning motors and pumps. You can use them on your saw. But the laser will really cost you...
