  1. Ok so for those who don't know I am using a JABOD Forge and my fuel is charcoal of course, now me and my dad and a friend of ours that is on the same volunteer fire department as us coon hunt pretty heavily, and currently the way we have our dog pens setup the dog pens are approximately 40 foot away, from my forge and my charcoal making pit(obviously the forge doesnnt make to much smoke but the charcoal making pit makes a pretty large amount) and we are considering moving the pens a little bit closer so that we can have 3 pens instead of 2 without having to buy another pen, after moving them the pens will be about 30-35 feet away, and i know yall may be only making educated guesses but i wanted to know is could the smoke from the forge and the charcoal making pit mess up our dogs sense of smell?
  2. love the dog ideas, and also the link, I cant open it because I don't have office is there any way you could pm me the pictures of the slide?
  3. Like I said I really like the cross idea and I wanted to know of more things I could make as key chains

  9. Well, can we try and get it going on here I think that IFI IS USED alot more than anvilfire now anyways plus it would help newer smiths know what designs are being used
  10. please forgive my ignorance but what/who is Sharbok hot, and what is the SOFA?
  11. We'll y'all after multiple fires and some good fun, I decided I would continue my work on the knife I had been working on before I decided to change my forge, and my forge can definately get hot enough, I stuck the knife in to begin normalizing it, and in about 2 minutes I took it back out and it had burned to pieces bad fire bad fire
  12. well I would prefer it to be just hand forged with a similar font as the sign, I liked how the r was set up
  13. Thanks alot sir, wish me luck bout to be back to the forge lol
  14. Lol well it's good to hear that I am not being a nuisance, and no problem
  15. I don't mean to be a nuisance but by any chance would you be able to draw out what you are meaning because I'm really confused
  16. What do you mean when you say tracking on?
  17. For the most part yes, I was able to get to the steel between orange and dark yellow fairly consistently, and I was able to get it up to a really bright yellow heat a few times tho it was inconsistent. The only issue is i think I need to make the tuyere wall even with the trench wall because I can only get about 1/3-1/2 of the fire pit bright yellow/ almost white
  18. Nope, Im a readaholic lol That is my final product what do y'all think, and yeah I still need to get the dried clay off of the right side ledge
