  1. what a funny thread! well im a girl so presumeably i dont look like most of you - but i dont think its about build, beards etc ( as lovely as those things are obviously..) for me its all about the hands - i reckon you can always tell when someone can actually use their hands

    Swage ideas

    ive got a not very good very heavy swage block which just lies on the floor and i hit my feet on, meanwhile i use everything else under the sun to shape stuff... theres so much lying about in my life that i prefer to use. Having said that if i had a nice crisp edged sweet little one i bet i would love it - and i would have moved it off the floor..

  7. really gorgeous - love the candles - love all of it - really tactile! cant wait to get my hammer going and see what i can do with it - not long i hope - thanks for putting up the pictures - great to see artistic work done on the power hammer.. nice idea about the tongs John!

  10. hey Bryce never mind if the drawings are no good - its such good practise on so many levels - a way of getting your ideas/mental pictures into your hand - which is where they are going to take shape from after all - it also trains your eyes up better and makes nice little (or big?) brain connections - drawing is BRILLIANT in my oppinion even if you are no artist - i do it all the time!;)

  13. never thought of it but its a good point - i have them on my oxy/acet but not on the propane.. didnt know homemade was an option - never thought of that either! cheers!
  14. hey stew im uk too - not that many of us on here!! hello! im in gloucestershire.. i was a bit worried about if my leaf was right or not but i reckon anything we make will be really nice on the tree - i thought it was a great idea, i sent two copper leaves and it was the first time i had forged copper so they are a bit weird! what kind of work do you do?

    initial frame for another life size baby elephant for the flower show - this will be planted only on the top of his back

    large head made up to be filled with plants for flower show, only the trunk eyes and tusks to be visible..
  23. tbale again by Mike - the top was chosen by the client but i think the wow factor is in his work underneath!
