    Piece of 5/8" drill rod forged to a point, then forged flat, forged out tang. Threaded end of tang and screwed all together.
  6. Forged W1, stainless spacer and butt cap, tung oil finished walnut. 8" overall length. Thanks for looking, Buddy

    Ironwood EDC

    This is one of my favorite knives that I make. It is about 6 3/4" overall length, 1/8" thick 52100 with acid finish. Ironwood scales that can be removed for cleaning. Thanks for looking, Buddy

    I have an old Bowie knife I made a long time ago. I use it to cut off pieces of hart pine for kindling. The spine is soft on that knife and after years of beating on the spine with a hammer it has mushroomed out quite a bit. I know this knife will probably not be beat on, but who knows what it will be used for. I have not broken any test blades hardened this way, but plan to soon. Any of you guys broken a blade heattreated this way?
