Don't feel bad KYBOY. You're not alone.
Keykeeper, thanks for the site info. I tried it for my area. Using "anvil" as the keyword, the closest auction is in SC. And they were "mini cast anvils". I'll just keep looking. Who knows, maybe the next stone I turn over. :) -
Thanks Quenchcrack & Glenn for the updates. Will continue to keep you & the others in prayer. You have a long & difficult road ahead. Good luck.

Any word on how all you Texas blacksmiths (and your families) made out? You are all in our prayers.

Good for you fishdaddy! And welcome! Keep posting pics so we watch your progress.
Good luck.

I'd like that link too. I've been thinking about a touchmark for myself.

Really nice! One of my sons found & gave me two of the trimmimg blades that you show in your third pic. I might have to make him a knife out of it as a thank you.
I really like the nice file work on the edges. That would make a great BP for a lot of us.

Turned out great! Nice idea on the paint tray.

Sweeeeeet!! Really nice. Now I have to pick up some maple too! LOL
Great looking knife.

Thanks! I appreciate it. And, yes, he liked it. :)

I stick weld at my shop. I learned how to set things up by watching someone else. I have never actually seen anyone else weld before. It's all been OJT, reading what I can & trial & error. Practice, practice, practice. Someday I'll have to go down to the local Jr College & sign up for a welding class.

Bosch, Milwaukee, Ridgid, DeWalt & Porter Cable. Craftsman for hand tools. Depends on the tool.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Have & will pray for you & his family. Will also tap the anvil.

I would like to add my "Thanks!" as well. Many of us are helped & encouraged. Thanks again.

They turned out real nice! If she doesn't like them, send me a pm. I'll take them! :)

Yep, Thomas. And when they come over & strike your anvil real hard, you know it's your turn.

Very nice! You obviously have a talent for metal work. Kepp it up. I am sure we all look forward to seeing more. Welcome to the site.

Can't wait to see what you forge. How about posting pics of the spike tongs. I need a pair & would like to see your design. Thanks!
