Elegant & beautiful. As always.

I have used them for smaller sized bending forks. I weld them to a piece of 3/4" square stock that fits in the hardy hole in my anvil.

Looks great!

WOW......... that thing is huge! I wonder how far away you can feel the vibrations?

The rust shouldn't be a problem. But if it is in such bad shape, could there be any cracks?
How about using part of a thick rubber mat? No belts to worry about. -
Looks great Frosty! I'm sure shw will love it.

Maybe a belt sander? I haven't worked with aluminum yet, so I'm not sure how it would do. I'm guessing ok. Mine works well for wood, steel & brass.

That is neat! Would make a great sign outside your smithy or when doing a demo somewhere.

WOW! That is one of the sweetest knives I've seen. Excellent work! I am sure you will have no trouble finding a buyer for this knife.

Sweet looking knives. I'm sure his father & step father will be very happy with them. Especially since he (and you) did it for them.

I think a good used hardshell suitcase is your best bet. Pick one up at a thrift store so if/when it gets dinged up, it won't matter. You might line each half of the shell with foam and go with your other ideas like tieing things together & rolling them up. I have also used a strap around a suitcase, going thru the handle. Not a wratchet strap, just a regular type you pull to tighten. That way, if security does want/need to check things out, they can get in & out with out a problem. And the strap will help take some stress off the hinges & latches.
Good luck and let us know how thing go.

Nice knife Highlander! Great idea using the high epoxy putty for a handle. Hadn't thought of that. Gonna have to try it sometime.
