Larry, thanks for the pic. I like your key hook also. I agree with Doug C about the variations in our work making them unique. Yours will smooth out with use. The only glitch with mine is that when I sit in some chairs the keys lift up & might come off. That's something you might want to watch for. It depends on how tightly yours fit.
I would never consider it highjacking. LOL List away.

Thanks to all for your comments & insights. Thank you Glenn for the BP number ( although I still can't view that one yet )
Larrynjr, Please post pics if you can. I'd like to see your version.
Keep 'em coming everyone!

Scratch, I believe there are several BP's on various twists. I can't get to them right now. I'm sure Glenn can get them for you. I know Hofi has done some also. Tha cube twist is pretty easy & a good one to start with.

Looks great!

Try two layers of Kaowool. Then maybe some ITC100 on top of that.

Thomas, do you have pics? Always interested in new ideas.

Thanks Frosty & Chris for the comments!
A copper cap, huh? That would be something to see! -
I was in need of a key hook for my belt. Something to carry my truck keys on. I figured "why not make one?". This is what I came up with. It works well. Now I don't set off my truck alarm with my keys in my pocket.
It got me to wondering. What do you carry around with you that would make people notice your work? My hook gets noticed once in a while. It's a small thing, I know. But it opens doors to talk about smithing.
So, what are some examples that you carry. Key fobs are an obvious example. Jewelry? Post some pics & lets see how creative smiths can get.

Great looking knives, Ed! Really beautiful!
I showed these to one of my sons. He said "Dad! Those are great! You need to learn how to do that so you can make me one!" LOL -
Great looking knife! Thanks for sharing.

The crafstmanship is great! Wonderful attention to details! Really nice!

Sounds interesting! Any chance of a video to show us how it works?

KY, sometimes it's the little things. Common sense stuff like enough insulation, proper psi, make sure your burners are tuned in, turning down the burner to just keep it hot while not actively heating something....... etc. Things I'm sure you already know. But, they all add up.
I don't remember what I paid last time for gas, but it sounds like you are getting a good price to me.
Bruce, forced air??? I'm interested. Is there a BP or info somewhere?

I've seen his videos several times. They are quite good.
Oh, and it's long blue jeans, shirt & steel toed boots here. I'd rather sweat than burn. :) -
Very nice! What type of wood did you use in the handle?

Looks great JR! Look forward to seeing more!

EXTRAS!! No such thing! I'm still trying to find my first of everything.
I think that black hole - gravitational pull idea has merrit. It must be why Fla is so dry of anything extra. Everything has been dragged up north! -
Great looking knife Rich! As always........ :)

That's a beautiful knife! I wouldn't change a thing!

Very nice! Anyone would be proud to carry that. Beautiful work!
What do you carry?

Larry, no problem on the name. Some people think my name sounds better the other way around anyway!
I wasn't clear before, but what I meant was the keys coming off. I don't have a problem with the hook coming off my belt. I put a small curve at the bottom of the flat part that curves under the bottom of the belt. That holds mine secure.
