Wow Glenn, there's already enough in the list for a book, a section on tools might help--like the first tongs and some simple spring fullers, maybe a couple of hardy tools. Looking good!!
Welcome from the south side of the KKK river Jerry. Glad to see you here. Tock has been trying for a long time to get me to your shop. This is a great site with even a greater bunch of folks--you'll like it here.
My pole barn shop is 24'x40'. I had the bottom of the walls put an average of 6" off the ground to make for a fill of the same stuff as Mark at Frog Valley. 28 tons of the mix--watered down and compacted made a floor almost like concrete, except I don't get any cracks. Its easy to punch holes in for post vises and the anvil mount. Money wise it was about 2 grand less than if I had the floor poured.
Nice looking tool Victor, the handle application makes it even more appealing! Add some big headed brass tacks to the hand area to make it an even more so!
By the way--the adzes are primarily for bowl making.
the Perdue university smiths, I'm pretty sure on this. The smitty is a permanent fixture at the Feast grounds and the folks working around it are mostly faculty and students.
