    It does not seem to mater how hot it is when I quench it, I have quenched it at black heat and at bright red it makes no difference atall. No I have never berned the metal.

    I have this fence post/rebar stuff, and after I quench it I can brake it with one hand. Broken ends are vary dense.

    This is my anvil it is 150 pounds, someone on here said it was a Trenton, and someone else said it was a Hay-Budden.

    I don't think you need the blowers, I saw a kid on youtube make a sword that way and it was vary flexible.

    I had a 55 pounder from Habor Fraight and it dented with a bright orange RR spike. This pic is before I evar used it.

    I got this for free from an old man that I don't even know, true I had to fix the ring in there and it is cracked, but hay it was free.

    My dad is an electrician and trenches in the wire and pipe for pivots.

    Ok last night I got this idea, take the design for the body of a 100 lb little gaint power hammer pore it in aluminum and reinforce it with rebar. Do you think this would work using a 25 lb hammer head. If you do and have a 100 lb little gaint send me a pic.

    I got a good anvil from an antique store. It is 150 lbs. It has a good ring and the hammer rebounds about 18 in.

    Could any body send me some plans to make a belt grinder 2x72 or any thing with a thin belt.

    I used a old chisul I found at my grandpas, I can cut steel that is allmost cold without denting it.

    Go to ebay and tipe in blacksmith gas forge. That is where I got mine.
