  1. This is a knife I made fore a friend in OK what do you think?
  2. Cut the plate back until you have a straight edge then bolt a plate of the same thickness on top of the cast iron ,welding it to the old plate, then lay a plate on top of both of those and weld them together.
  3. I finaly have a hardie that doesn't jump around in the hardie hole. I never had the right size stock to make a good one before.
  4. You can use a loan mower blade for the spring, I made a post vise out of well pipe and that is what I did.
  5. What is so much better about a post vise?
  6. Do you know what the weight would be, I am not serten on the weight.
  7. I made this knife before I knew about carbon in metal, so it is vary soft.
  8. In answer to Phil, My dad sead I cannot use a dimmer on this moter and he is an electricion. In answer to Francis, I closed the the ash dump and loosened the belt and suddenly I melted the end of a peace of rebar. Thanks all.
  9. I have a friend that goes around buying old cars and other scrap, He lets me take what I whant, the other day he evan gave me some peaces of 2 1/2 inch angole iron, 5 to 6 feet long. I'm useing it to make a trip hammer. Ofcorse I tolded him he would have use of it when it was done.
  10. The problem is more likly to much air becose if I want to I can blow the charcoal out of the forge.

  13. No I just tighten or loosen the belt by moving the moter forward or backward. I hve an ash dump but the handle broke off, but I have ben leaving it open. stuped me
  14. Here are some pics, in these pics I didn't have the moter hooked up when I took them but, it is now hooked loosely to the belt.
  15. I am having the same problem but I know it isn't my air flow because I can blow the charcoal right out of the forge. I use my own charcoal made from pine. I have an electric moter hooked up to an old blower, I don't know what model the blower is.
  16. The numbers are 125 then an A on its left side then A75648.
