  1. There should be a plate on the motor stating the voltage and amps. There are 2HP motors that are 110,220 ,208 single phase and triple phase. if there is no plate, buy a new motor. It will cost you 100 to 300 bucks. Depends on the HP and voltage and phase. Safe..not sorry. zzzzaaappppp!!!
  2. POSTLEG, if you need to loosen old rusty bolts, try KROIL. greatest stuff. Brownells carries it as well as Midway USA. It is the BEST penetrating oil ever!!
  3. I vote vinegar. I manage a park with a historical village. My current building under construction is a jail. I built my bunks last week and intend to hang the outside edge by chain. No old chain though. Bought new, bright, shiney, zinc coated. Was going to throw it in the coal forge but it was so flipping hot (let alone the fumes). Plan B kicked in. 99% food grade vinager (use it at my park's pool for cleaning hard water deposits). Covered the chain at 3p in the vinager. At 6am, the vinager was black and the chain was grey. Rinsed it off and in 10 minutes it was rusting. Quick coating of flat black and my bunks were done. Where did I learn of vinager...here.
  4. Well here is the real question in my opinion. Is 100 degrees in your garage or shop while you use coal, cooler or hotter than 100 degrees in your garage or shop when you use gas?
  5. I will let the pictures speak for them selves. I got it an an auction, it appears to be a 117#. I see Moss& *&^%; Sheffield; *&^$AN* My belief is it is from england. Any suggestions or ideas....
  6. I am in Davenport. About 2 1/2 from Des Moines. Have any photos?
  7. James, Thanks for the info. Does the Anyang come with other than one set of dies? Does $4800 put it at my door? Looks like a nice piece of equipment. Dave
  8. Thanks Tom. Looks like James has a ton of talent too. But can I ask, would you tell any one the top money you have to spend on an item you want to buy??? If so, how much do you have and what are you looking for, I am sure I might have one at that price!! LOL Just poking some good natured fun... Honestly I have seen some for sale between $1500 and $4500, size dependant. Just driving 1500 miles one way is kind of crazy at $3 gas.
  9. Hard to say, a fair dollar for a fair product. But in general terms, maybe $2000
  10. Hello, new to the site, found it while searching the 'net. Anyway, I am in IOWA, looking for a 25# or 50# Little Giant Hammer. In working condition and within reasonable distance (let's start around 500 miles). Reply here or to eyekeeper604@yahoo. THANKS
