  1. They have it here: http://phoenixcoal.com/ Oops I was thinking S W Missouri
  2. My Fisher has a 1-1/4" hardy hole.
  3. The dies horseshoes are forged on are highly polished in machining (to prevent sticking) and through use, that coupled with "scale" does make them look coated. Ours are not shotblasted. I have some aluminum shoes here that are at least 30 years old. spiritrider
  4. I noticed the guys in the drop forge shop using NG torches to preheat (on cold mornings) the dies before forging. Should a cold anvil be warmed before starting work? And if so anyone have suggestions on how? Thanks spiritrider
  5. Some of us (cheapskates) prefer to be called frugal. I just lately bought a Fisher Norris 250# for $50.00. Smooth faced, few small nicks on the horn, on a steel stand. I shall remain as frugal as possible. spiritrider
  6. Sounds like powder post beetles. They're everywhere. I've had them eat my shop stumps and the shop framing. I use the copper treatments. shadowrider
