There doesn't seem to be much going on here, is this chapter still active?

Assuming it doesn’t get cancelled, this year’s Conference will be October 17. I’ve been intending to go for the past three years, but something always comes up. Not this year. Nothing could keep me away (except COVID-19). I am hoping it will not be cancelled as all other meetings have been since this bug popped up. The demonstrators this year are: Brent Bailey (who is from California and not Texas as I had wrongly assumed) and Joey Van Der Steeg from the Netherlands. I am sure pretty much everyone here knows who they are. I am looking forward to seeing them in person.

NOVEMBER 2019 2 WORKSHOP: Beginner Blacksmith Class - From 8 am until done. Muldrow, OK Host and Contact: Brad Nance, Instructors will also include Tracy Cowart and Chuck Waite. Registration fee is $40, Lunch provided. Participants need leather gloves, long pants, decent shoes (no open toes) and eye protection. Tools and materials will be provided. OCT13, 14, 2018 the 22 Annual SCABA Conference Hosted by Saltfork Craftsmen Artist-Blacksmith Association Oct 13 at 8:00 AM – Oct 14 at 5:00 PM CDT Murray County Antique Tractor Show Sulphur, Oklahoma This year, we will have Bob Bergeman and Pepe Gomez. Bob Bergeman is well known for a variety of forging techniques with a focus on using power hammers. Pepe Gomez is well known in the knife making circles for his amazing pattern welding (aka “damascus”.) As we have done for two years now, there will be workshops with these demonstrators following the conference.

Instead of a trade item, the intent is for this to be a day of making tools to donate for the 2018 SCABA Conference Toolbox. June 30th Tool Making Workshop: Mandell Greteman will be hosting a tool making workshop at this shop in Foss, OK Saturday June 30th (last weekend in June.) This will be an informal workshop and is free to attend. Lunch will be provided but donations will be accepted for the food. Bing your own material and bring your own idea for a tool that you want to make. Mandell and other instructors will be on hand to help you get the tool made, offer assistance, tips, etc. Forges and anvils currently on hand at Mandell’s shop will be available for sharing unless you want to bring your own setup.
