October 30, 20241 yr You've shown us this or one like it before haven't you Scott? I love this kind of stuff, especially your dentured sculptures. They remind me of Clyde Wynia's Jurrustic park sculptures. You guys would make a great team. Frosty The Lucky.
October 30, 20241 yr That would be great if the teeth were animated like those joke teeth that clattered. I love it. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s.~ Semper Paratus
October 30, 20241 yr Author Oh, I might have sent you a photo. I was going to put genuine glass eyeballs on it and a lower jaw but moved on. It's kind of weird looking so I figured halloween would be ok to show it. . I sure admire Clydes work, thanks. IFCW, that would be funny with the joke teeth. . I always want to mount a motor with an offset weight on the shaft and attach it to a sculpture so it jumps and skitters around and plug it in when folks get close to look at it.
October 30, 20241 yr I like it. Makes me think of an alien that's head could come off and scurry around.
October 30, 20241 yr Author Perfect! Now I just need to make an alien body for it's head to detatch from....
October 31, 20241 yr That metal casing that romex wire comes wrapped in would make neat tentacle looking things for an alien body.
October 31, 20241 yr Author Sounds like a great idea for a future project but Halloweens over soon so I might just remove the teeth and make some bushy eyebrows and a moustache out of steel wool for it..... I was going to mount it on my mailbox by the road but never got around to it.
November 1, 20241 yr Halloween may be over but Thanksgiving is just around the corner, maybe put a drumstick in it's teeth? Frosty The Lucky.
November 1, 20241 yr Author Thanks Rojo. No they are just re-purposed false teeth.... I might re-use them for a eye catching hood ornanent of some sort. I like the chattering teeth idea and they are relatively cheap. Someday. 4 hours ago, Frosty said: put a drumstick in it's teeth? What do you suggest, a table centerpiece for the Thanksgiving spread? You know where I'd be eating.
November 2, 20241 yr If you're going to put it on the dinner table wash it first! I was thinking a seasonal decoration for the passing public but I'm sure there are other ideas waiting to unfold. Frosty The Lucky.
November 27, 20241 yr Author The dentures are held on by a small piece of all thread. A cut off screw.... Pretty adjustable. I think it would be easy to clamp a turkey leg in them. I will take it to my sister's for dinner tomorrow and be sure to give you credit for the idea.
November 28, 20241 yr Sounds like a party! Happy Thanksgiving Scott, family and the IFI members who celebrate. Frosty The Lucky.
