September 5, 20241 yr I am looking around and can't find if i can pay a yearly fee to get rid of all the pop up adds on the forum like you can do on others. with the wealth of information here it would be well worth the cost to me. Thanks
September 5, 20241 yr I use duck duck go for a browser on my phone and never see any pop up adds. Other than that most things to keep the site going are paid for through donation drives occassionally which I am glad to help with what I can.
September 5, 20241 yr Author Thanks Daswulf. I'll look into duck duck go. I never heard of it. I'll see if it works with my laptop.
September 5, 20241 yr I second the suggestion to try Duck duck go for a browser. The only place I run into an ad is on places like Youtube where you can't watch without deleting the full page ad. I use a PC laptop and Duck duck go has managed to thin out even the micro$oft ads. I'm hoping they come up with an OS soon. Frosty The Lucky.
September 5, 20241 yr I use uBlock Origin a free download for Firefox and it blocks all adds unless I turn it off if I want to see one. I also have Privacy Badger installed so it blocks all trackers works like a charm. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s.~ Semper Paratus
September 5, 20241 yr I wouldn't mind paying for an adfree version of the forum as a yearly membershipcost as well. Most (not me, have paypall not completly figured out yet, because lazyness) regulars contribute anyway, so it is small in return. (If the contribution is enough to pay for all the things involved to run the forum). But i will look into duck duck go as well. Thanks
September 5, 20241 yr we dont have one available , but I use an add on called Ad-block Plus on my firefox browser
