DHVidrine Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Attached are pictures of the base I made for the mini swage block. It was assembled from 4"x4" treated pine sections bolted together with 1/2" threaded rod. 1"x1" angle is attached with wood screws at the top to keep the swage block in place. It fits snug in the base notch in the verticle position. I think this will work well. I may brace it to my work bench with a bar clamp if needed. Quote
George N. M. Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Looks like it should work well. Since there are sedom any torquing or bending motions with a swage block in my experience I dobt that you will have to anchor it to anything more solid. "By hammer and hand all arts do stand." Quote
Frosty Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I like it. I mine is similar if larger. Judging by the angle iron I'm thinking the square through hole is around 1 1/2"+ on a side. Frosty The Lucky. Quote
