are there any blueprints on how to make rivits and nails?

Did you search the blueprint section?

I could do it for you but I have to go to the barn in a few minutes, then out to the shop.

rule of thumb for rivets and bolts. 2 times the diameter of the material to form a rivet head (Oval). 2.5 times the diameter of the material to form a bolt head, (square or hex).

for bolts and rivets, heat just the very end (4 times the diameter) to a bright orange or yellow heat and upset the end a bit. then drop in the header and form the head.
