ThomasPowers Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 I ran across this link to a copy of the Woodings-Verona Tool works catalog #16; It has a lot of smithing tools in it with names attached some of which we've discussed in IFI before. As I keep having to search for the WVT trademark I figured others may like a link to it too. https://archive.org/details/WoodingsVeronaToolWorksCatalogue16 Quote
JHCC Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Eighty years old -- I think this skirts the TOS rule on no commercial links! Quote
ThomasPowers Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 I now recognize why folks suggest a proper name for your maker's stamp. I've had to search a lot to find the combined WVT stamp on the net where Woodings Verona Tool Co would have popped up in seconds. I've been enjoying looking at the old camel back drills and other "old tech" in the 1911 Machine Tool book I recently bought. (Of course they look so modern compared to the woodcuts in De Re Metallica...) Quote
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 I think it's interesting that they call lock washers nutlocks. Quote
