January 4, 20179 yr I recently bought a coal forage table with the blower attached and whenever i crank the handle a really loud noise comes from the gears and i was wondering how to muffle that noise.
January 4, 20179 yr oil them, adjust the gears to mesh better, replace the bearings, fill the gearbox with concrete---can you tell me what is wrong with my pickup---it's making a noise?
January 4, 20179 yr TechnicusJoe has some videos on YouTube about cleaning up blowers and some problems he has sorted out with them.

January 4, 20179 yr As the current problem is a burned out window motor it will be a while before it smokes...
January 12, 20179 yr Usually the bearings are shot aka rusty and or worn out. The gears can also be chipped which makes a noise. Take it apart like this and look it over after you clean it real well. The bearings themselves are not replaceable. You CAN replace the balls but not the cones and race.
