October 16, 20169 yr Author Still married I might say. I did buy something. An ACME perhaps? 87 pounds for 1.45/pound. I couldn't pass that up. I could polish it and sell it or use it as a door stop.
October 17, 20169 yr I'm almost certain I've spent less than that equipping my entire shop over the course of about ten years.

October 17, 20169 yr lol. Yes I think "Yet" is probably a more accurate answer. Especially with the long shopping list I have.

That is a very nice little shop you have, though. I need to make sure I have room to build something similar, wherever my wife decides we're moving when we retire.
October 17, 20169 yr As I told you told when you visited it was suppose to be twice the size but $$ got in the way but I figured something solid and built was worth a lot more than a wish setting on the to do list, esp at my age.
October 17, 20169 yr Still better than my 8' x 10' area in the garage between the lawn mower and the bicycles!
October 17, 20169 yr I've bought 4 triphammers for a total cost less than that; as for shops---I believe that they are like kids and either growing or thinking about growing. Designing them to be ready for the next growth spurt is the trick---mine is done in 20' wide x15' long bents with 2 major growth occurrences of 20'x30', (and I'm thinking how nice to have a 20'x15' "porch" or carport on the end would be...)
