August 21, 20169 yr I don't knie if you use Facebook at all, but I see a lot of people selling good video equipment on there for some really killer prices. Just thought I'd share. Nice work you got going!
August 21, 20169 yr Congratulations Theo! All the best. Are you inviting a bunch of bladesmiths to the wedding so you can walk a sword arch as you exit the venue? I really like the olive wood on the bowie it really compliments the pattern in the steel. Frosty The Lucky.
October 6, 20169 yr I remember reading about you using the "rubber?" material for the handles, how do you like it? I assume it isn't soft or shifting but I'm wondering what you thinnk now you've used it a while? Frosty The Lucky.
October 8, 20169 yr Author So this is funny - I was experimenting with finishing a Impregg handle with a light coat of polyurethane (for added UV protection) instead of a thin coat of G-Flex, and it's super slippery in comparison to the epoxy. The epoxy is not really rubbery, just has a lot more flexibility and impact resistance in comparison to most epoxys. I've noticed the texture is determined by how you apply the top coat: thick feels like polished/buffed antler, thin feels like freshly sanded micarta.
