J W Bennett
Finished this today. Uprights are necked down From 3/8" square to 1/4" round so that the cups could be riveted on. Legs are welded together and then the base was wrapped with 1/8" x 1/2" flat stock to hide the welds and give the impression of leather wrapping that also wraps around the rose and holds it in place. Let me know what you think, John

Paragon
Nice!.. Love the rose. A lot more involved than the one I made last year, although that rose probably took you a lot less time than what I spent on my whole rose. If I get time, I might try to make another one this year for Mom. Don't know if I will have time.

J W Bennett
Thanks for the replies and compliments. Hillbilly, I make the roses out of 14 - 16 ga steel recycled from various sources, I'm to cheap to buy copper and at todays scrap prices you don't see much scrap around here. Also I really like the texture you can put on a steel rose;). once again thanks for the replies. John
