Try rotating your pics before posting. Don't know what program you have your pics on - I just go file > rotate clockwise/ anti-clockwise.

i was forbidden to reply. tried to rotate befor but when i uploaded it re rotated them.

hey, how does the box stay shut? does it tilt enough to let gravity do it or is it held up with friction or a magnet even?

 

I'd like the mail box about twice a yr some kids put a cherry bomb in my box and blow it all over the place, so far not with mail.  State cops come over and say that's too bad and drive away.  Post office says that's too bad when will you get it replaced?  Home Depot smiles everytime I buy another one.  Brats.

i will get a close up pick for you neophite.  it is a piece of steel folded so it holds the lid shut.  

notownkid  they will need more than a cherry bomb to take this box out.  

years ago when i was a sub mail carrier in southern wisc. one of the people on my route had problems wirh kids , cars and baseball bat on his mail box. the cure was 8 inch well casing buried 4 feet and complete mailbox made that way.. matto, nice job.
