Yes, I had it backwards, it's a neurotoxin with a allergin component. Nasty stuff however you get dosed. All carnivorous insects are cannibalistic. As a horribly misguided child I used to catch red and black ants for crews on my sailing ship models, float them in a pond, puddle or if the folks weren't watching the pool and draw them together with thread. Made for great pirate battles.
