BIGGUNDOCTOR
The plates are on the sides as it appears the entire front half was broken off at one time. You can follow the weld repairs down the front. Anthony. If you build a base, make sure the beams are built up with them standing vertically ( IIII ) not horizontally ( ---- ). Some end cuts off a glue-lam , or railroad tie could save some time if you can't find a stump, but I have even seen them done out of 2x4's. Upright beams using 2x8's.
ThomasPowers
Note that you can leave the end ones a tad long and cut the middle one(s) so they have a projection to "trap" the anvil in place.
Anthony San Miguel
Ahh, yes, I've seen that. Thanks for reminding me.
ThomasPowers
As my built up stumps are for travel and teaching I don't have the anvils fastened down to them, but drop them down on top and have the stand hold them from walking around
Dan P.
Mending plate. Why they were trying to get it working with little knowledge or skills. Think of it as a "Mad Max Fix"Looks like gas welding. Not easy to weld little to big with gas!
the iron dwarf
the welding is very bad arc welding on my anvil
Dan P.
the welding is very bad arc welding on my anvilI see. The welding on the actual crack looks a lot like gas welding. I presumed the rest was too, except the blobs that some plonker has left using the anvil as a welding table.
Lương Côn
Tôi cũng mới mua được một cái Đe. Nhìn nó đẹp quá mà không dám sử dụng. I just bought a dam. It looks so beautiful and doesn't dare to use it.
