Revtoby
I'm just getting started in smithing and my first order of business is getting my blower working and looking nice. It is working fine but my inner fan housing is cracked really bad.. Anyone know where I can find one or maybe how to fix this one...
Dogsoldat
Post some pics and post a location someone may be near you. Depending on where and how its cracked determines whether it's weldable, brazable or worst case scrap.
swedefiddle
Most of the housings are cast iron, easiest way is to squeeze it together and braze it together. There is no real pressure, a little oil slashing around and some air is moving. Unless you have to pass some gas at the same time :) :) Neil

swedefiddle
Good Morning, Add your address to your profile. There probably is someone in your area with connection to your area Blacksmith group.
VaughnT
If you can't braze or find someone to do it for you, consider JB Weld. Just clean the area really really well and slop on the JB. It'll seal the crack so you don't lose the oil.
