WayneCoeArtistBlacksmith
If you are in Alabama plan to come to the www.AFCForge.org spring blacksmithing conference the first weekend after Labor Day at Tannehill State Park. Look for my canopy and banner and stay around for a while to visit. Demonstrators will be Lyle Wynn and Jack Wheeler. Both great blacksmiths that can teach a lot. You just missed the Batson's Blade Symposium and Knife Show this past weekend but you can plan to come next year.

Frosty
Welcome aboard Alex, glad to have you. Don't sweat forgetting you live in Texas, it's a pretty little and it's easy to forget it's there. 8 posts and you haven't said you want to learn blacksmithing by forging a sword, not even once? Sounds like family to me, welcome to the Black Iron Clan. Frosty The Lucky.

Jerry W.
If you are willing to drive, Balcones Forge will be meeting on the last Saturday of the month. The details can be found at balconesforge.org It is a great group. At our get together last month we had Mark Aspery as our demonstrator. There were a few that showed up from your direction. WayneCoeArtistBlacksmith
If you are interested in a gas forge my brother is in Lovington and has a forge that I built for him but then he didn't get bitten by the bug and the only times it has been fired is the week that I gave him instructions. If you are interested e-mail me and I will get you together.
