Frozenshrimp
Hello everyone my name is Sean I live in Oklahoma. I've been looking around the site for a couple of weeks and figured I better intoduce myself. I am new to blacksmithing and looking forward to learning a lot from all you veteran blacksmiths. Frosty
Welcome aboard Sean, glad to have you. Have you been reading the sections? Almost any questions you have are probably answered there and more than once. At the bottom of the home page are the regional organizations, if you hook up with the one closest to you, you'll find you'll learn more in a day with an experienced smith than weeks of trying to teach yourself. Charles R. Stevens
Haven't meet anyone at the SaltFork craftsman that weren't friendly and helpful. The news letter is on line, call up the smith hosting the reginal meeting and just show up. If you don't mind driving, there is a meeting every weekend. ThomasPowers
Howdy; I started smithing back when i lived in OKC---and look where it's gotten me today! I've heard a lot of good things about the Salt Fork group; we used to carpool to meetings back in Ohio; more fun and less money when it was a 2 hour drive...they might be able to hook you up with someone in your area.
