Interesting fan

Look at this fan it's impressive to me. So if you want to convert it to hand crank blower you could make these blade radial instead axial but it works good.

 

Might this can work on foot like treadle lathe.

Neat bit of work.  No reason you couldn't adapt that with better gearing and a flywheel/treadle system to make a great forge blower.

Only hard part is to make gears. They need to have same teeth i guess same dimension same pass it need a lot's of counting.

Making gears actually isn't that difficult when you're making them out of wood.  There are some great tutorials on the net about it.

 

Or, you could simplify it and just use belts and pulleys.  One bicycle wheel with a bit of string wrapping around it and the small pulley on the fan shaft would give you some serious wind.

I think to make gears you need band saw.

If you make gears out of wood, it's easier if you cheat and download a pattern.  Of course......to me, a wooden gear looks awfully like a pattern for an aluminum casting........hmmmm :D

The blower in pattern look good only transwer this to metal would be nice.
