jwaingdci
Hello I'm wondering if someone can tell me a little more about my new anvil. Possibly date it as well
arftist
Old Mousehole (made in England) between 1820 and 1835. Good condition for it's age. Use it as is, do not grind the top. Pretty much a handmade anvil.
ThomasPowers
The face was welded on as a series of plates and you can see one of the junctions by the wear pattern.
swedefiddle
Good Morning, I think your anvil is Yours!! It has a horn, but no horn button. It has a Heel but it doesn't have a Boot. It has a Face, but it doesn't have any Brains. It has a Step, but it doesn't know how to March. Enjoy YOUR Mousehole, it doesn't matter when it was born, unless you want to have a Birthday Party!! May I come????? Neil
njanvilman
Just to add a bit: It was made in England in the 1800's, put together by forge welding large chunks by hand and under water powered trip hammers.
