Campfire Cooking Set

Featured Replies

Once upon a time a seen prints on making a campfire cooking set.
It included fire tools, a hanging rack, and a cooking rack which was
adjustable up and down on one of the support posts. Does anyone
have any idea where I can find prints to make a set?
Also I am planning to make a new forge-any recommendations on where
to buy a forge pot?
Thanks

Centaur Forge sells good firepots,,,,
As far as the campfire sets....see BP 0317 for a tripod and BP 0476 for squirrel cookers. The full setup hasn't been posted, but Ten Hammers makes them a lot. You can gets ideas from my stuff...www.dancingfrogforge.com/CampfireGear3.JPG

Here's some photos of my campfire cook set. I make some lightweight sets for Rendevous buckskinners and camping folk, but this style is for more permanent set-up. The uprights and cross bar are 3/4" rebar in the photos (my back yard) but the later ones I've made with smooth bar stock. The horizontal bar is held by (rivited on) horse shoes, just because I have a lot of them and I like the way they look. The hooks are different lengths for hanging the dutch ovens. There's also an adjustable grill for skillets, steaks, and such.
