September 26, 201312 yr This hammer is at the springsmiths in my town. It's been sitting there for about 30 -40 yrs and hasn't been used in at least 10. I have begged the owner to sell but he just laughs and says maybe one day. I am quite sure that it's not a common one. "Blower and Forge cc" "Lancaster PA" Couldn't make out the rest

September 26, 201312 yr Shame to see it out in the elements without a cover or a least oil/greased up with some form of coating on it.. Looks like a real neat hammer.
September 26, 201312 yr Author It is a shame, but it's only been out for 3 weeks and will be moving back in soon. Every two weeks or so I go and remind him that I still want it.
September 26, 201312 yr That's a good idea. The key is that he keeps you in mind, but you don't pester him too much. Unfortunately I've seen stuff go to scrap because the owner didn't think anyone was still interested in it. "That old stuff? No one would want that... I scrapped it to make room. "
September 26, 201312 yr Definitely something to keep an eye on. It wouldn't hurt to take by some blacksmithing examples as 'gifts' to show your appreciation for his time, and that you're serious about needing the hammer for something practical. I always find good deals when I'm dead broke, or, like you, find something I'd dearly love to have but can't get. The sadness ruins my vibe.
