May 30, 201313 yr http://www.kcci.com/weather/you-wont-believe-these-5-day-rainfall-totals/-/9358602/20361272/-/aylab7z/-/index.html What a difference a year makes. I KNOW south Texas is upside down ( San Antonio and south ) with rain.
May 30, 201313 yr It was spotty; the moisture pattern was rather long and narrow. San Antonio had a "rain grenade" and got over ten inches at the airport. I live 15 miles away from there and got 3 inches. People who lived 30 miles away got nothing. Medina Lake is 82 feet below full - the lowest it's been in 50 years and no relief from what we got over the weekend. We need a nice, slow moving tropical storm to come in off the Gulf...
May 30, 201313 yr I live about 40 minutes south of downtown San Antonio. We got 3/4" of rain Saturday when SA got 10". I ate lunch with another blacksmith on the north side of SA this afternoon and on their surveillance camera, they had a video of the lady driving off into the water and the car being washed away. It was about 75 yards away. She was one of the fatalities. We are still in need of rain and hoping for more. Hopefully people will stay out of the high water if and when it comes.
May 31, 201313 yr We have had 3" in the last hour, and the storms keep back building. After the last 3 years it can "rain 40 days and 40 nights, and wait for the sewers to back up"
May 31, 201313 yr Heaviest rain I've seen this year so far is 0.1" anything in your yard you want to live you have to water. The rest is pretty much dead.
