HWooldridge Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 It was spotty; the moisture pattern was rather long and narrow. San Antonio had a "rain grenade" and got over ten inches at the airport. I live 15 miles away from there and got 3 inches. People who lived 30 miles away got nothing. Medina Lake is 82 feet below full - the lowest it's been in 50 years and no relief from what we got over the weekend. We need a nice, slow moving tropical storm to come in off the Gulf... Jerry W. Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I live about 40 minutes south of downtown San Antonio. We got 3/4" of rain Saturday when SA got 10". I ate lunch with another blacksmith on the north side of SA this afternoon and on their surveillance camera, they had a video of the lady driving off into the water and the car being washed away. It was about 75 yards away. She was one of the fatalities. We are still in need of rain and hoping for more. Hopefully people will stay out of the high water if and when it comes.
