April 17, 201313 yr Hi guys! Ive had this anvil for a while and it works fine. I don't know much about it or what its made of and i would like to find out or at least get an idea. I don't know if its cast iron or cast steel but its definitely cast. Any Help would be amazing. Thanks guys! same on both sides

April 18, 201313 yr I believe it's of european decent... I've seen them via the internet, and think that it came out of the ukraine or possibly russia....
April 18, 201313 yr Looks a lot like the cast iron anvils you find in farm stores around here without the pritchel hole, but I've never seen one that big...
April 20, 201313 yr About 15 years ago or so Harbor Freight was importing a 110# cast steel anvil of low to mid quality. They were made in Russia and looked like the one in the picture.
