January 22, 201313 yr I've been working on this for a while, but only a little bit at a time so it's taken me a while. Also it's my first time working with bricks, so I'm sure it could have been done better. In this picture the rest of the chimney isn't atatched, but after the bricks comes a 11" round metal pipe. It's built outside and I'll be building a pole barn around it soon. Everything seems to work really well, the chimney pulls in all the smoke. :)
January 23, 201313 yr I like it alot, I hope to build one myself someday. Did you build it from a plan?
January 23, 201313 yr Author Thanks. :) And no, I just looked at a lot of pictures, then came up with my own design in my head and went to work. I never drew anything up.
January 25, 201313 yr Fantastic job. For a first time working brick, you did wonderfully. Have you fired it up yet? We will definitely need pictures of it burning, and you forging. It's a rule! Congrats on a job well done.
January 25, 201313 yr When I clicked on the picture, I said out loud, “Oooh, pretty!" Good work. I can't wait to move out of this apartment so I can build a forge.

It's a rule! Congrats on a job well done. I've been using it off and on since I first finished the firepot. :P Next time I fire it up I'll take a few pictures, probably tomorrow afternoon. And thanks a lot for the complements, it feels really nice hearing good things about something I've worked so hard on. :)
